Perinatal Mental Health

Your emotional wellbeing is just as important as your physical health and recovery. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or not quite yourself during your fertility journey, pregnancy and especially in the months after birth. These feelings deserve attention and care, not to be brushed aside. If something doesn’t feel right, you’re not alone and support is available.

I offer comprehensive mental health care and support throughout the entire perinatal journey, from preconception and fertility, through pregnancy, and into the postnatal period. I also have an interest in breastfeeding trauma and grief and support people who have experienced challenges during their breastfeeding journey.

Consultations include thorough assessment, compassionate counselling, and tailored support. Medication may also be an option or we may consider coordinated referrals to psychologists, psychiatrists, or mother-baby units when needed.

You will also find a wide range of helpful mental health resources on this website, including information and links to support services.
