Common Concerns We Can Explore Together
  • Painful latch or nipple damage

  • Low milk supply or oversupply

  • Tongue tie concerns

  • Weight gain issues

  • Breastfeeding twins

  • Recurrent blocked ducts or mastitis

  • Managing feeding with mental health concerns or medications

  • Breastfeeding beyond infancy

  • Return to work

  • Weaning

Antenatal Breastfeeding Preparation

Planning to breastfeed? This session is ideal before your baby arrives. Learn what to expect in the early days, how to initiate breastfeeding well, and how to prepare both mentally and physically. You'll also be introduced to antenatal hand expression and shown practical positions that support a deep, effective latch.

Initial Breastfeeding Consultation

This extended consultation is perfect for addressing any early concerns around latch, positioning, nipple pain, milk supply, or unsettled babies. We’ll observe a feed (if baby is ready), work through common challenges, and ensure you feel confident moving forward. We would also usually have  a lot to discuss and debrief from your birth experience! When is the best time to come in?  As soon as you can after hospital discharge!

Feeding Support Beyond the Early Days

Breastfeeding evolves as your baby grows. Whether you’re adjusting to feeding rhythms, returning to work, planning to wean, or introducing solids.  Dr Miranda offers continued support tailored to each stage.

Bottle Feeding & Mixed Feeding Guidance

Not breastfeeding? Mixed feeding or bottle feeding comes with its own questions and challenges. You’ll receive respectful, non-judgemental advice to support your feeding choices, including responsive bottle-feeding techniques.

Pumping & Milk Supply

Get help navigating pumping schedules, milk storage, and supply concerns. Whether you’re exclusively pumping or expressing occasionally, I can help you find a sustainable approach.

My Approach

My lactation support goes beyond just the mechanics of latch. This is of course the foundation. Once your latch is pain free, we can then build on this and we look at the whole picture — your baby’s needs, your emotional wellbeing, and the practical realities of daily life. I use real-life examples, visual tools (like my breastfeeding doll), and evidence-based techniques to help you feel calm, supported, and informed.

When To Book

Feeding challenges are often easier to manage with early support. Many parents benefit from booking:

  • During late pregnancy (at ~36 weeks)

  • Within the first week postpartum

  • Anytime you're struggling with pain, milk supply, or feeding doubts

  • When transitioning to mixed or bottle feeding

  • When preparing to return to work or start weaning

  • Whenever you feel you want to discuss feeding your baby!
