Coronavirus (Covid-19) FAQs
I am concerned I may have coronavirus, what do I do?
If you suspect you may have the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), please feel free to book a Telehealth appointment if you wish to have further medical advice, or call the dedicated Coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398.
Please do NOT present to a medical practice without first telephoning ahead if you are concerned about Coronavirus (Covid-19) or if you have any respiratory symptoms at all, such as cough, fever, sore throat, sneezing, runny nose, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell. At Collins Street Medical Centre we require you to have a Telehealth appointment first if you have any symptoms of Covid-19.
If you have serious symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, call 000 and ask for an ambulance and tell them if you also have a fever or a cough, sore throat or respiratory illness.
Testing in Victoria includes people with fever or chills or almost all respiratory symptoms such as cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss of smell or taste.
There are various options for Covid-19 testing, including "drive through clinics" that require a GP referral. Some of the Covid testing centres allow me to send a pathology referral form directly to the centre before your arrival to streamline the process.

I am a General Practitioner, also known as a Family Doctor. I provide continuing, comprehensive wholeperson health care to individuals and families.
I have special interests and experience in women's health, perinatal health which includes pregnancy planning, fertility, antenatal pregnancy care, postnatal care including baby health checks, feeding, fuss and sleep issues, and also enjoy caring for children and adolescents.
My other special interests include travel medicine and dermatology (including skin cancer checks.)
I am an accredited provider of antenatal "shared care" providing pregnancy care to women in partnership with the public hospitals. This model works well for women eligible for Medicare, but also as a cost effective form of care for international visitors who choose to deliver in a local public hospital.
