How do I book an appointment?
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, any new patients to the practice and patients who are wanting to book a Face to Face appointment must now call Collins Street Medical Centre on (03) 96546088 to book an appointment.

How long does my appointment need to be?
***Please note that due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, face to face and Telehealth appointment times and arrangements may vary.***
I would ordinarily ensure a new patient has a 30 minute appointment so I can take a full past medical history and ensure I am meeting your medical needs. In this current climate of Covid-19, a 15 minute appointment is acceptable but please note I may ask you to rebook an additional appointment if more time is needed.
With subsequent appointments a general rule of thumb is that a standard appointment (15 mins) is for one issue, and a long appointment (30 mins) is for 2 or more issues.
What are your fees?
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic there are many government changes to the billing structure in General Practice. Bulk Billing is currently available for some Telehealth consultations for certain Medicare eligible patients. The usual private fee still applies for all "face to face" appointments.
Please note the government advice on Telehealth Medicare rebates is changing on a daily basis.

Fees may vary depending on consulation time taken, type of appointment and if any procedures were done or medical consumables used. For medicare eligible patients there is a medicare rebate on the consultation fee.
Will my insurance cover my visit?
For overseas visitors I suggest you check with your health or travel insurance company. We require payment on the day and usually you would then claim it back through insurance. I am able to write a letter to support this if needed.
