How do I book an appointment?
Please call Collins Street Medical Centre on (03) 85756900 to book an appointment, or click below to book an appointment online. (Depending on the current Covid-19 situation, Face to Face appointments may intermittently be unable to booked online, if this is the case please call and speak to us.)
New patients must book a Face to Face appointment if they wish to be eligible for a Medicare rebate, unless they fulfill the other Medicare criteria as discussed below in the section "What are your fees?/Can I get a Medicare rebate?". Please note that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, if you have any cold or flu like symptoms you must book a Telehealth appointment.

How long does my appointment need to be?
***Please note that due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, Face to Face and Telehealth appointment times and arrangements may vary.***
New patient appointments are for 30 minutes, this ensures there is enough time to take a full past medical history and ensure your medical needs are met.
With subsequent appointments a general rule of thumb is that a standard appointment (15 mins) is for one issue, and a long appointment (30 mins) is for 2 or more issues.
What are your fees?
Can I get a Medicare rebate?
Collins Street Medical Centre is a Private Billing clinic and does not Bulk Bill.
A Medicare rebate is available for all "Face to Face" consultations.
Current government regulations mean that a Medicare rebate is available only in certain circumstances
- for patients who have had a Face to Face consultation at this practice in the last 12 months
-for children under the age of 12 months
-to people whose movement is affected by Covid-19 quarantine laws at the time
-for the provision of services related to blood borne viruses, sexual or reproductive health
Recent changes as of 1st July 2021 also limit Medicare rebates for Telephone only consultations and may only cover some Video consultations..
Fees may vary depending on consulation time taken, type of appointment and if any procedures were done or medical consumables used. Fees for Telehealth consultations are likely to be the same as for Face to Face appointments.
A guide to consultation fees is below:
Standard (< 20 minute) appointment: $95 (Medicare rebate $38.75)
Long (20-39 minute) appointment: $170-$185 (Medicare rebate $75.05)
Extended (40 min + ) appointment: $230 - $250 (Medicare rebate $110.50)
Will my insurance cover my visit?
For overseas visitors it is recommended that you check with your health or travel insurance company. Payment is required on the day and you then make a claim through your insurance. A letter to support this can be provided by Dr Bradley if needed.
If you have any respiratory symptoms at all such as cough, fever, sore throat, sneezing, runny nose, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell, it is strongly recommended you get tested for Covid-19 ASAP. If you wish to have medical advice, please feel free to book a Telehealth appointment. You may also wish to call the dedicated Coronavirus hotline on 1800 675 398.
Please do NOT present to a medical practice without first telephoning ahead if you have any of the above symptoms. At Collins Street Medical Centre you are required to have a Telehealth appointment first if you have any symptoms of Covid-19.
If you have serious symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, call 000 and ask for an ambulance.
There are various options for Covid-19 testing, including "walk in" and "drive through clinics". Some Covid testing locations need no referral, others require a GP referral form which can be arranged during a Telehealth appointment and sent directly to your chosen testing centre before your arrival.
